I had the wonderful opportunity to work on updating the branding for a psychologist and at the same time working with them on two commissioned paintings for their office. We collaborated on both the branding and the artwork.
For the branding, they really wanted something with gears, but also subdued, clean, and professional. We opted for three colors: a deep-deep blue, a cool grey, and white.
I’m fairly happy with this layout and the overall tone. I feel like we got the gears in there without going into the realm of MS Office clipart with gears inside heads or too far into steampunk territory.
The business cards and letterhead turned out really well and the client was extremely please with the results on both the branding and the paintings.
The two commissioned paintings turned out way better than I could have hoped. Both are abstract paintings which is not my typical style of painting.
But I love exploring new ways to create so I was game to give them a go.
I was even able to incorporate glass into one piece, delicate|dreams, to carry through my ideas on duality and reciprocity as shown in my mixed media art I show in galleries.
